The first police arrived just one minute after being dispatched.

Body-worn camera video from responding officers plays out the scene like a nightmare as Logan Parsons, 26, lay on Main Street in downtown Lexington.

Blood ran from Parsons’s head and pooled on the pavement as a good samaritan applied pressure on the wound and tried to keep Parsons still.

Nearly two months after the incident - following police’s release of the surveillance images showing the men described throughout the case report as “suspects” - one of the suspects called police to identify himself. He told police they did not initiate the fight and said the group from the wedding “got out of pocket” and called them poor, documents state.

The detective would later conclude: “I do not feel there is probable cause that has been substantiated to place any criminal charge at this time,” citing investigators’ inability to fully corroborate or refute statements from both sides.
