In a state where 1 in 4 adults can read and comprehend only basic material, educating the next generation is essential.
The goal of the statewide expansion of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is to inspire a love of reading by making books available to all children ages 0-5 in Kentucky, regardless of the family’s income.
Currently 48.3% of eligible children in the state are currently receiving books and thanks to funding from Kentucky State Legislators. In 2024, the Imagination Library expanded to all 120 counties in the Bluegrass State.
